Christmas 2009
Hey I’m back! Two posts in two days is a record!
Today I am going to talk about last year’s Christmas.
This is Mum's Christmas Tree. It is a gum tree branch wrapped in fairy lights.
Well, last year we had Christmas at our place, I had saw so many people I hadn’t seen for ages. We had cousins, uncles and aunts come from Brisbane, some came from Monto and some came from lots of other places.
Rosebud and Zoe couldn’t control themselves when it was the night when Santa came they almost went to sleep as soon as Mr Fun tucked them in.
That morning Zoe, the early bird, woke me up (which I don’t like) and told me that dad had gone to the cattle. Unfortunately Dad was feeding out over the Christmas as we had had no rain. We were allowed to open our stockings from Santa but we weren’t allowed to open presents from relatives.
I had got another book called "A Diary of a Whimpy Kid", a watch, a small handbag, scoobies and some Smiggle things like rubbers and pencils.
After breakfast and when everybody had woken up the adults handed out Secret Santa presents, and then they handed out presents to the children and other adults.
In the end I had the Santa things, sunglasses, a scribble diary, Rosebud, Zoe and I all shared Harry Potter Cluedo, and heaps more.
The night before everyone left we had a Christmas Concert where everyone had to make/play a skit, music or comedy piece and perform it in front of everyone. I played a song on the piano.
When everyone had left I asked mum if a few friends and family could come over on New Years night and while the parents played poker, the children could go outside, but little did I know that poker was so long it could go all night which it practically did! It stopped at about 3am and that’s no joke! When it finished I went to a friends house for a sleepover.
But a good time has got to end doesn’t it?

School Camp
Hey everybody!
I’m so sorry I haven‘t been on my blog for a while, I have been either busy or away.
I have had a busy Christmas, New Year, School Camp (from last year) Easter and holidays,
Last year my fellow 4’s,5’s,6’s and 7’s and I all went on a camp to Brisbane for a week. At one stage I thought that we would be driving there, man that would take a while, but then our teacher told us we would be flying and we all had to meet at Rockhampton Airport.
A few weeks later we were on the Jetstar plane and heading towards Brisbane. I sat next to some of my friends and we all shared our lollies for the trip. When we landing my legs were so, well, I felt like my legs didn’t know how to walk.
The first thing we did was go on two buses and head towards the place where we are going to sleep. It was beautiful! In my cabin I had three of my friends in with me and our teacher aide was in with us as well. Once we had settled in and had set up our beds we set off again heading to the Botanical gardens. One by one we went to different places like the Old Parliament House, the Police Museum, Laser Force, Sea World and much more, and by the way we didn’t do all that in one day or in order.
My f riends.
Then on Friday the last day of camp we packed up and put everyone’s bags together so we are ready when we got back from Sea world. When we got back we jumped into the buses and stopped in the Brisbane Airport, in the Virgin Blue plane I felt a lot safer for some reason I don’t know but I did. I was glad to see Mrs Patient and Rosebud there waiting for me.

Zoe
Mrs patient here. We have a new puppy!
I found Zoe in the pound and thought I could give her a new life at our home with three girls who would spoil her rotten. She is a 16 week old Foxy Cross and so far has been absolutely perfect. I would also like to add she is better at keeping the cattle out of my house yard then Sid, the Border Collie, is.
She only barks when there is something unusual going on which is great for a small dog. She remains outside and so far have resisted to let her become an inside dog much to the requests of the girls.
Sid is still getting used to her. The first day we came home she would not let him in the garage. But now they are becoming great mates.

Smithy and Jonesy
We used to have a white cat named Alby (Albino). Mum picked her up as a kitten and was told it was male but turned out to be female!!!! Anyway Alby ended up having 4 kittens and they were all ginger males.
Two of my friends took two and we ended up keeping two We named them Smithy and Jonesy. Alby had a lot of health problems and ended up dying.
They are beautiful cats but sleep all day in the same spot. Smithy is the fat one and just sleeps and eats. He has a ginger face. Jonesy is the hunter and is thinner and sometimes vanishes for days on end only to reapear very skinny and hungry. They sometimes sleep together, they lick each other and generally are great mates.
Smithy is the cat that you can play with.

Here is Smithy letting Liquorice lick him!!
and this is really gross....
ROSEBUD EATING CATFOOD!!!!
And Rosebud taking Smithy for a ride in the trike!
I think we have the worlds laziest cats!
Down at the creek
Down in one of our paddocks (Hima, named after a Bull) there is a long creek. Rosebud, Zoe and I love to go down there because of lots of reasons. It is adventurous, has lots of amazing things made out of nature and last but not least we have a cubby house there! Al l it is, is a tree with its roots exposed. We have made a roof out of long sticks and dead leaves and little branches, and it’s looking good. We have shelves to put stuff in like bones, we even have a lizard skeleton. There is also a slide, meeting room and announcement place. It is a huge creek and we decided to name parts of it. For example, Rocky Air, Sahara Desert and Open Season. It is now school holidays and the other day I had a friend over and we stayed there for about 3 hours just playing and having a picnic. It was so much fun.

Polly, Licky and Malty
Malty is last year’s poddy calf and still hangs around the house. Mr Fun did have her in another paddock but had to bring that mob up to the yards. On the way one of the other heifers hurt her leg so Mr Fun left Malty behind to keep the injured heifer company. She was then moved into house paddock with the injured heifer were she has remained ever since.
A few weeks later sadly a cow died giving birth so Mr Fun had to go out and catch her calf. When he brought her home we decided to name her Liquorice because she was all black. When Liquorice was old enough to eat grass she started to eat Mrs Patient’s garden, so Mrs Patient shut her out of the house yard and made her go out where the other cows were and make friends with other calves. When it was time to give Licky her afternoon feed she came home with Malty - we figured they were friends. Then Licky was too old to stay here so yesterday we moved her and Malty to the yards with another cow that is sick.

Then, this morning, a friend of ours rang to say he had a calf at his place and the mother had died. Oh dear – Mrs Patient had about 24 hours poddy calf free!!! LOL. He offered it to us and Mr Fun and I went and picked it up. It is a little heifer (female) and we have named her Polly. I have given her two small feeds of milk but we are waiting for the calf milk to come home from town. It won't get here until about 5.00pm. We have her in the playpen just until she is strong enough to walk.

Tess 2005 -2009
It is Mrs Patient here again with some sad news that our lovely dog Tess passed away yesterday from a brown snake bite. By the time we found her it was too late for the vet so we nursed her the best we could. I really miss seeing her out my kitchen window, at my feet when I'm in the garden and sleeping in her little kennel.
She was an irreplacable dog.

Puppies
This year our dog Tess had a litter of pups, 5 of them.
About Two Weeks Old
We named them all by the markings on them. Three of them were girls and two were boys. One boy was called Arrow because on the back of his neck there was a little arrow on it, and the secound one was originally called lighting McQueen because he had a lighting bolt on his neck too but the people who wanted to collect him wanted to call him Cody so we started calling him that.
That's Cody
Now for the girls. One was Jess because she was a copy of her mum Tess and because it rhymes, another girl was called Snowy because she was basically covered in white, then last but not least there was Misty my favourite girl she was named "Misty" because she had a swirl on her forehead. When the puppies were about 5 weeks old we put up a giveaway poster in our local shopping centre. When the puppies were 6 weeks old they were all gone. Tess won't be having anymore pups now.
This is Jess, Mum's favourite
Tess
Hello! My name is apparently Mrs Patient and I am the mother of the author. I agreed with the name after I said no to Mrs Doasyouaretold and Mrs Notsofun! Someone has to set the rules!
I would like to tell you about my dog TESS.
Tess is about 4 years old and is part Border Collie and part Kelpie/Cattle Dog cross. The best dog you could ask for. She loves Queen B, Rosebud and Zoe and follows them everywhere. However I am no-one when Mr Fun is around no matter how much food I hide in my pocket. Tess is a great snake catcher so I send her off with the kids when they are on their bikes or walking to Grandma's house.
This was Tess after Rosebud covered her in Paw Paw leaves and told her to stay. Very patient dog!
Tess had her first litter of pups this year but I will let Queen B tell you that story later.
SID
About 2 years ago our neighbour brought up a puppie for us. He is the dog in the title photo with the calf. Sid is a Border Collie so that makes him very active.
"206"
206 is very quiet you can even pat her, basically everywhere. Whenever 206 has a calf, all she does is has it, and then leaves it. So, when ever she gets close to calving, we have to put her in the yards and keep a close eye on her. We like to name her calves and so far 206 has had two calves. The first one was a boy and we named him Patch because he had a patch on his forehead, and the second one was a girl and we named her Christine I don’t know why but we did.
At the moment, 206 is in the house paddock, and every morning she comes and visits the calf, Liquorice, that we are feeding, and waits for her to join her for the day. It looks cool when they go off together. Sometimes Liquorice and Malty, last years poddy, join up and spend the day together.
The other day Mrs Patient was not so patient!!! Someone left the gate open and 206 came in and ate some of the lucerne mulch from Mrs Patient's roses.
